On May 21, 1986, Allied was presented with an "Excellence in Concrete" Award for creative use of concrete by the Maryland Chapter of American Concrete Institute, in our capacity as General Contractor on Maryland State Highway Administration Contract Q-609-501-271, the Corsica River Bridge. In recognition of our excellent performance in the reconstruction of State Circle and Francis Street in Annapolis, the Mayor of the City of Annapolis proclaimed March 12, 1991, to be Allied Contractors Day. The American Society of Civil Engineers honored Allied with the Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Award for work associated with the rehabilitation of the Druid Lake Fountain on May 11, 2005 and Merit Award for West Shore Park, East Inner Harbor, on December 7, 2006. These are only a few out of many awards our projects have received.

Allied is a founding member of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. of Maryland; member of the Engineering Society of Baltimore; the Society of American Military Engineers; and supports many other technical, civic and charitable organizations.

Allied Contractors, Inc.  employs over 150 people, of which more than 50 percent are Baltimore City residents. When first permitted by government regulations, Allied instituted a voluntary Profit Sharing Plan to benefit its employees. In 1986, this plan was converted to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan and the employees now own over 40 percent of the company stock. Our growth and experience are amplified through the positive attitude of our dedicated and involved employees.

Allied Contractors, Inc. has also maintained its offices at 204 E. Preston Street in Baltimore, Maryland, for approximately 50 years. At this location we maintain a drafting staff, experienced in architectural detailing, shoring and scaffolding plans, structural detailing, etc. Our project management staff consists of Licensed Professional Engineers and Landscape Architects experienced in building design, heavy engineered construction and project planning.

Allied Contractors, Inc., has maintained an equipment/storage complex at 3510 Hawkins Point Road in Curtis Bay, Baltimore, Maryland, for over 40 years. This facility maintains an assortment of steel sheeting and piling, scaffolding and shoring systems, man-lifts, bucket trucks, cranes, dozers, loaders and other assorted equipment. The facility serves as staging grounds for our Maintenance of Traffic and Equipment Rental  projects. The complex also has metal and wood fabrication abilities including welders, presses, drill presses, band saws, radial arm saws, planers, etc. This facility has been very instrumental in our ability of securing many projects completed over the years for the City of Baltimore.
